Kayla Myros, Research Associate

Kayla Myros is a Research Associate with ConsultEcon who connects her background in economic and environmental research with her experience at non-profit organizations and museums. Prior to her work with ConsultEcon, Ms. Myros worked at a non-profit advocacy group, Massachusetts Rivers Alliance, on a project analyzing the cost of implementing a revised permit in Massachusetts where she presented the research to officials at the MA Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. EPA. Furthermore, Ms. Myros worked for the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation, on a market gap analysis for the business district in Codman Square, and advised the organization with the leasing of commercial spaces based on her findings. She expanded this research by analyzing how a railway expansion project affected the Codman Square and the surrounding business districts. Ms. Myros also worked for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum within the Visitor Service department, a position that provided firsthand experience with museum operations and visitor market demographic analysis. Ms. Myros is a graduate of Simmons College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. She has also studied abroad in Berlin, focusing on art history and cultural studies, and Havana, focusing on sustainability and community engagement. Ms. Myros' academic career concentrated on applied economic theory expressed through community and economic development, environmental policy impacts, and sustainability.
