Amy Homan, Research Associate

Amy Homan is a Research Associate with ConsultEcon with a background in economics and market research. Prior to joining ConsultEcon, Ms. Homan worked at Forrester, a technology research and advisory firm recognized for its thought leadership on the integration of business and technology. During her most recent position as a Sr. Research Associate, she played a significant role in co-creating a new research practice at Forrester to focus on dissecting emerging technology markets and bridging the gap between large organizations and technology-forward startup ecosystems. Before moving into the emerging technology practice, Ms. Homan worked as a Research Associate on Forrester’s software development research team and co-produced over 42 research publications, guiding Fortune 1000 technology leaders on how to apply best-in-class software development strategies within their organizations. Before joining Forrester, she worked on the consumer insights team at the International Data Corporation (IDC) in Framingham, MA, analyzing consumer survey data and uncovering insights on industry-specific adoption of emerging technologies. Ms. Homan has also accumulated market research experience beyond the technology field, having worked in a research capacity for the Naval War College in Newport, RI and VFA (now Accruent) in Boston, MA prior to graduating from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Her academic career concentrated on economic theory as applied to economic development, micro/macroeconomic policy and business, while incorporating art history and cultural studies during her study abroad experience in Thessaloniki and Rhodes, Greece and Santo Domingo, DR. Having visited more than fifteen countries, she is a travel enthusiast with a keen personal and professional interest in arts and cultural experiences.
